I add corn when I make corn bread. I put some corn on top of the meat mixture, added the corn bread mix and then add the remainder of the corn. YUMMY!!!! THANKS!

The only thing I added was a can of corn and 2 cups of frozen peas. I like my vegetables in the casserole. It was delicious.

I made the recipe pretty much as written, I used gluten free cornbread mix (Martha White make a smaller gf cornbread mix comparable to Jiffy) and ground turkey. I did need to bake this longer for the cornbread layer to be completely baked (probably because of the gf mix). I think some of the flavor will depend on the ingredients that you use but this is a sweeter sloppy joe and ours had a bit of kick from the hot sauce I used. Overall my family liked it but all said it wasn't something they would ask me to make again and gave it a 4- 4.5.

I didn't make the sloppy joe mix just used manwhich but it was fire 2nds the next day and everyone loved it also for an added ingredient put mushrooms in it

I had to make some changes due to not double checking my pantry! My version was delicious and I will make it again. I prefer things more spicy so I suggest adding chopped jalapenos to the meat layer.

I found it to be too sweet. Next time I make it I will cut the brown sugar down significantly. We did like it enough to try again. Dill pickles were a nice addition.
