- 1/3 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions

Step 6: Once the casserole is done baking, remove it from the oven and uncover it. Sprinkle the top evenly with panko breadcrumbs, shredded mozzarella cheese, and everything bagel seasoning.
Step 7: Set your oven rack about 6 inches from the heat source and preheat the broiler. Place the casserole back in the oven under the broiler for about 5 minutes or until the topping is golden and crispy.

The Story Behind Everything Bagel Seasoned Chicken Casserole
The Everything Bagel Seasoned Chicken Casserole is a modern twist on classic American comfort food. First attempt at this recipe and it turned out to be a success! I switched out raw, cubed chicken for rotisserie chicken and incorporated the flavorful juices from the chicken into the broth. I also whipped up my own spinach artichoke dip and added a cup of it to the mix. In addition, I included 1.5 cups of steamed broccoli along with the chicken, and generously seasoned everything with Everything Bagel seasoning and Italian seasoning before baking. Utilized a mozzarella ball, shredded in a food processor, and garnished with parsley at the end. The result was absolutely fantastic! This dish has quickly become a new favorite in our household! 😊👌🏼

I'm glad I decided to make a larger batch, as my father-in-law ended up devouring half of the casserole! I went a bit overboard with the Italian seasoning and added extra mozzarella, but that was the only change I made. I'll definitely be making this dish again. I served it with broccoli and garlic bread.

This dish was incredibly tasty! I followed the advice of another reviewer and replaced the Italian seasoning with more bagel seasoning when using Rice a Roni. I didn't have any artichokes or dip on hand, so I used broccoli instead. I also topped it off with a generous amount of mozzarella and romano cheese. My husband loved it just the way it was, but I might try adding artichokes and dip next time for a twist.

The combination of pepper flakes and Italian seasoning was intriguing. However, I believe omitting the Italian seasoning next time would be better. Perhaps adding a bit more bagel seasoning in its place would enhance the flavor. After all, who can resist the deliciousness of everything bagel seasoning? I will definitely make this again.
