I liked the hash brown casserole. I think adding the bacon really helped make this recipe. I did reduce the salt to 1/2 teaspoon of salt. I also thawed out the hash browns and blotted the hash browns with paper towels to remove the moisture.

Good but way too salty! So much so that it burns your mouth. I would make this again but omit the added salt

Too salty, would leave out salt and maybe use less ranch dressing. I would use more buffalo sauce and maybe substitute the cheddar cheese with mozzarella cheese.

I followed the recipe as written. It was too salty. I will cut back to 1/2 tsp. salt next time. It has 1601mg sodium per serving . It has very good flavor. It took 75 minutes to bake before it was warm enough to bake uncovered 10 minutes. I will make again. Can the leftover casserole be frozen ?

Really like the flavor of this casserole, but didn’t like the consistency. After 45 minutes, the hash browns pretty much turned to mush. At least for me, I think Potatoes O’Brien might work better, and that’s what I’ll use the next time. Thanks for sharing, it was enjoyed.

Unless you like tasting nothing but black pepper on your tongue, avoid this recipe. I made it as per the recipe with half the red hot sauce and no added salt, as the ranch mix has salt listed as the second ingredient. The salt level was fine. Couldn't taste anything, not even the cheese, chicken, red hot sauce or ranch dip mix, but black pepper. What a waste of money and ingredients! My husband hated it, too. Will not be making this again.

I was very excited to try this casserole. All the ingredients in this recipe are ingredients I love. I was disappointed. I'm one to double spices but even then I found the dish to have little flavor. Wanted to love it but found it bland.

Another winning recipe! This was great as a full meal, but I'm thinking next time I may omit the chicken for a nice side dish. Hubby literally got 3rd's of this, so I will definitely be making this one again!
