Caramel Apple Chocolate Bark Recipe
Caramel Chocolate Pretzel Bark
This delicious caramel chocolate bark combines the richness of semisweet chocolate, the sweetness of caramel, and the crunch of pretzels and pecans. Perfect for a sweet treat or a party snack!
Ingredients
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips, divided
- 1 (11 ounce) package caramel bits (such as Kraft)
- 1 cup crushed pretzels
- cup chopped pecans
- 1 (3.4 ounce) package apple chips
Directions
Step 1: Place 2 cups of chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth and fully melted.
Step 2: Line a 13x18-inch baking sheet with parchment paper. Once the chocolate is melted, spread it evenly across the prepared baking sheet in a thin layer. Allow the chocolate to cool and harden.
Step 3: In another microwave-safe bowl, melt the caramel bits in 30-second intervals, stirring after each. Continue until the caramel is smooth and begins to bubble.
Step 4: Drizzle the melted caramel evenly over the cooled chocolate layer. Use a spatula to swirl the caramel into the chocolate for an even distribution.
Step 5: Top the caramel layer with crushed pretzels, chopped pecans, and apple chips. Make sure to cover the entire surface.
Step 6: Place a second sheet of parchment paper on top of the toppings. Press down gently to ensure the toppings stick to the caramel. Refrigerate the mixture for about 15 minutes to set.
Step 7: Melt the remaining cup of chocolate chips in the microwave, following the same process as before. Once melted, transfer the chocolate to a zip-top bag. Cut off a small corner of the bag and drizzle the chocolate over the set bark.
Step 8: Chill the entire pan in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 hours until the bark is completely set and firm.
Step 9: Once chilled, cut the bark into squares or break it into large pieces for serving.
