  • 3 large eggs
  • cup whole milk
  • cup white sugar
  • teaspoon vanilla extract
  • cup all-purpose flour
  • teaspoon salt
  • teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • cup blueberries
  • Confectioners' sugar for dusting

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425F (220C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, and vanilla extract until fully combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the flour, salt, and cinnamon. Gradually whisk the dry ingredients into the egg mixture until the batter is smooth.
  4. In an 8-inch cast iron skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat.
  5. Pour the batter into the skillet and sprinkle the blueberries evenly over the top.
  6. Bake the Dutch baby in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until it has puffed up and turned golden brown.
  7. Remove the skillet from the oven, dust the Dutch baby with confectioners' sugar, and serve immediately.
