Ingredients

  • Cooking spray (Optional)
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • 4 ounces Black Forest ham, chopped
  • cup finely chopped green onions

Directions

  1. Lightly grease or spray a large skillet with cooking spray and place it over medium heat.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Pour the egg mixture into the heated skillet, swirling the pan to ensure it evenly coats the bottom.
  4. Cover the skillet and let the eggs cook undisturbed until they are firm, about 5 minutes.
  5. Once the eggs have set, sprinkle shredded Swiss cheese, chopped ham, and green onions evenly over the eggs.
  6. Gently fold the omelet in half, encasing the filling inside, and cook for an additional 2 minutes to melt the cheese and heat the filling through.
  7. Remove the omelet from the skillet, cut in half, and serve hot.
