Baby-Led Weaning Oatmeal Bites Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cups milk
  • 1 cup quick-cooking oats
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon ground flax seeds
  • 1 tablespoon hemp seeds
  • cup fresh blueberries

Directions

Step 1: Pour the milk and oats into a saucepan over medium heat. Stir to combine.

Step 2: Add chia seeds, ground flax seeds, and hemp seeds to the saucepan. Stir well to incorporate all the ingredients.

Step 3: Bring the mixture to a low boil, then reduce the heat. Continue cooking until the oatmeal thickens, approximately 5 minutes.

Step 4: Transfer the oatmeal to a rectangular glass dish with an airtight lid. Stir in the fresh blueberries and lightly press the mixture down.

Step 5: Refrigerate the dish until the oatmeal completely cools and sets, about 1 hour.

Step 6: Once set, cut the oatmeal into bite-sized pieces and serve.

Cooks Note

You can use either dairy or non-dairy milk for this recipe. Additionally, feel free to swap in other fruits or nut butters that are safe for your dietary preferences or children's needs.
