Doggie Biscuits Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 cups whole wheat flour
- cup all-purpose flour
- cup cornmeal
- cup rolled oats
- 1 cups water, or as needed
- cup canola oil
- 2 large eggs
- 3 tablespoons peanut butter
- 2 tablespoons vanilla extract
Directions
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400F (200C). Grease the cookie sheets to prevent sticking.
Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, combine whole wheat flour, all-purpose flour, cornmeal, and rolled oats.
Step 3: Create a well in the center of the dry ingredients. Gradually pour in the water, canola oil, eggs, peanut butter, and vanilla extract. Stir the mixture until it comes together into a dough.
Step 4: On a flat surface, lightly flour your workspace and roll out the dough with a rolling pin. Roll it to about -inch thickness.
Step 5: Using a cookie cutter, cut the dough into desired shapes, typically dog biscuit-sized pieces.
Step 6: Place the shaped biscuits onto the prepared cookie sheets, spacing them evenly apart.
Step 7: Bake the biscuits in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until golden and crisp.
Step 8: After 20 minutes, turn off the oven but leave the biscuits inside for an additional 20 minutes to harden and become crunchy.
