Asian Sugar Snap Pea Appetizer Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound sugar snap peas, trimmed
  • 3 tablespoons garlic-flavored olive oil
  • cup low sodium soy sauce
  • teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 drops chili oil
  • teaspoon packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven broiler, and adjust the oven rack to the top position.
  2. Place the snap peas on a baking sheet, drizzle with garlic-flavored olive oil, and toss to evenly coat.
  3. Spread the snap peas in a single layer on the baking sheet.
  4. Broil the snap peas in the preheated oven for about 5 minutes, or until they are tender.
  5. While the peas are broiling, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, chili oil, brown sugar, and toasted sesame seeds in a large mixing bowl.
  6. Once the snap peas are done, remove them from the oven and immediately toss them with the prepared sauce.
