These homemade liver treats are a tasty, nutritious option for your dog. Simple ingredients come together in a few easy steps to create a healthy snack your pet will love. Follow the recipe below to prepare these delicious dog treats that can be stored in the refrigerator for later use.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pounds beef liver, cut into pieces
  • cup whole wheat flour
  • 2 eggs
  • parchment paper

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 350F (175C). Line a 10x15-inch jellyroll pan with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  2. Prepare the liver: Place the beef liver into a food processor and pulse until it is finely chopped. If theres enough space in the processor, you can add the flour and eggs at this stage and continue processing until smooth.
  3. Mix the ingredients: If your food processor is too small, transfer the finely chopped liver into a mixing bowl. Stir in the whole wheat flour and eggs using a wooden spoon until well combined.
  4. Spread the mixture: Once the ingredients are mixed, spread the liver mixture evenly into the prepared pan. Make sure it is spread out smoothly to ensure even baking.
  5. Bake the treats: Place the pan in the oven and bake for approximately 15 minutes, or until the center of the mixture is firm and set.
  6. Cool and cut: Allow the treats to cool in the pan. Once cooled, use a pizza cutter to slice the treats into squares. The texture should be light and sponge-like.
  7. Store: Transfer the cut treats into a sealed and store them in the refrigerator to keep them fresh.

These liver treats are not only delicious but also full of nutrients, making them the perfect reward for your dog! Enjoy preparing this simple and wholesome recipe.
