Quick Cheddar Garlic Biscuits Recipe

Cheddar Garlic Biscuits

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups biscuit mix
  • 1 cup shredded mild Cheddar cheese
  • cup milk
  • cup unsalted butter
  • teaspoon garlic powder

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 450F (230C). Grease a baking sheet with non-stick spray or butter.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the biscuit mix, shredded Cheddar cheese, and milk. Stir with a wooden spoon until the batter becomes soft and doughy, about 30 seconds.
  3. Using a spoon, drop dollops of the batter onto the prepared baking sheet. Space them out evenly, allowing room for expansion as they bake.
  4. Bake the biscuits in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes, or until they are lightly browned and cooked through.
  5. While the biscuits are baking, melt the unsalted butter with garlic powder in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir occasionally and let it cook for about 5 minutes.
  6. Once the biscuits are done, remove them from the oven and brush the melted garlic butter mixture over the warm biscuits.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy your cheesy, garlicky biscuits!

Absolutely adore these. I doubled the amount of cheese, included garlic in the mixture, and added some butter. I also brushed butter both before baking and after. The result was simply scrumptious.

I decided to enhance the biscuit mixture by adding a touch of garlic salt. During the baking process, I took the biscuits out halfway to generously spread butter over them. To elevate the flavor even more, I sprinkled a dash of oregano on top before returning them to the oven to finish baking. The end result was simply heavenly!

This recipe is fantastic for when you're in a time crunch. I decided to double the recipe and included an extra cup of milk to combat the slightly dry consistency. For my biscuit mix, I combined 4 cups of flour, 4 tablespoons of baking powder, and 1 teaspoon of salt. After baking them for 15 minutes, the biscuits turned out wonderfully light and fluffy. They were absolutely delicious and simply scrumptious!

Turned out fantastic! I enhanced the flavor by incorporating 1/4 tsp of garlic powder into the batter for a more pronounced garlic taste. Additionally, I sprinkled 1/2 tsp of Italian seasoning into the garlic butter for extra depth of flavor.
