Stacked Tomato and Burrata Salad Recipe

Tomato & Burrata Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 vine-ripened tomato, cored and cut into 1/2-inch slices
  • Flaked sea salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • cup Burrata cheese, or more to taste
  • 1 tablespoon torn fresh basil leaves, or to taste
  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil

Directions

  1. Place a tomato slice on a plate and season it with sea salt and black pepper.
  2. Spread a generous amount of Burrata cheese over the tomato slice.
  3. Top the cheese with torn basil leaves and drizzle with olive oil.
  4. Repeat the layering process with the remaining ingredients, finishing with a tomato slice on top.

Chef's Notes:

You can substitute mozzarella cheese for Burrata, and if you like, drizzle a little balsamic vinegar between the layers for an extra kick of flavor.
