Stacked Tomato and Burrata Salad Recipe
Tomato & Burrata Salad
Ingredients
- 1 vine-ripened tomato, cored and cut into 1/2-inch slices
- Flaked sea salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- cup Burrata cheese, or more to taste
- 1 tablespoon torn fresh basil leaves, or to taste
- 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
Directions
- Place a tomato slice on a plate and season it with sea salt and black pepper.
- Spread a generous amount of Burrata cheese over the tomato slice.
- Top the cheese with torn basil leaves and drizzle with olive oil.
- Repeat the layering process with the remaining ingredients, finishing with a tomato slice on top.
Chef's Notes:
You can substitute mozzarella cheese for Burrata, and if you like, drizzle a little balsamic vinegar between the layers for an extra kick of flavor.
