Kool-Aid Pie Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 (0.13 ounce) package unsweetened fruit-flavored drink mix (such as Kool-Aid)
- 1 (8 ounce) frozen whipped topping, thawed
- 1 (9 inch) prepared graham cracker crust
Directions
- Gather all ingredients.
- Whisk sweetened condensed milk and fruit-flavored drink mix together in a bowl until thoroughly combined and thick.
- Gently fold in the thawed whipped topping until the mixture becomes light and fluffy.
- Pour the filling into the prepared graham cracker crust.
- Refrigerate the pie for at least 1 hour before serving.
- Serve and enjoy!
Recipe Tip
If you'd like a less intense fruity flavor or sweetness, try adding only half of the drink mix packet for a milder taste or use half of the condensed milk for a less sweet filling.

I had intended to make this a Strawberry Pie, however, my Strawberry Kool Aid disappeared somewhere after checking out at the Super Market. All I had at home was a package of Kool Aid Lemonade, so I thought what the heck, I'm going to give this a shot. Let me tell you, not only is this pie super easy, and fool proof, it is also very tasty. Give it a try, you will be quite surprised.

I love making this pie but I also add one 8oz package of cream cheese and I use the extra creamy cool whip to make it stand higher in the graham cracker crust. Also try using two packs of orange kool-Aid and your pie will taste like a dreamsicle popsicle. I made them for Thanksgiving this year and they were gone in the blink of an eye.

This is slightly different from my childhood favorite, which was made with evaporated milk and frozen. This one is much easier (which earned the 5 stars) and could be so much fun in the various Kool-Aid flavors/colors.

This is very similar to my mom's Kool-Aid pie, which her's entails different proportions, same ingredients. However, do try something less different when you use the unsweetened packages. What a great refresher when I used the Peach Mango flavored Kool-Aid (use the entire packet). Easy and excellent recipe...best recommendation, FREEZE it for a few hours to get a better handle of even slicing and serving, it will thaw slightly on the plate and still get that great creaminess. Besides, we like it best frozen!!!

I was looking for a quick & easy & cool dessert. This is it! First I made pink lemonade, so good! Second I used black Cherry koolaid and put half in the pie shell. On top of that I put chopped maraschino cherries and drizzled hot fudge ice cream topping (do not heat more than 10 seconds in microwave). Put it in freezer to set chocolate then put rest of pie over. This one was a big hit with the hubby. It tasted just like chocolate covered cherries! I’ve made the Orange Creamcicle, very good. Today was a Tropical pie. I added a small can crushed pineapple, handful of coconut & about a 1/4 cup of chopped pecans & used pina-pineapple koolaid. Can’t wait to cut it! It tasted delicious, I had to have a spoonful!

A friend of mine taught me this recipe in the military 28 years ago in the mini graham cracker cups when we lived in the barracks and could not have a lot of groceries and did not have cars to go anywhere :-). I still make it today using the individual crusts (they come with little tops). An entire pie is too enticing, and I only use lemonade. Glad to see this recipe on here, it brought back memories.....

I substituted the Kool Aid with powdered chocolate milk and sprinkled chocolate chips on top. It was a big hit.

The recipe above was so SWEET it made me squint! For the next pie, I reduced the sweetened condensed milk by nearly half and substituted about 3 oz. of fat-free unsweetened condensed milk and about 4 oz. of additional whipped topping. The result was a much better pie. I recommend using the extra creamy topping and freezing the pie as well. For both the strawberry and lemon versions, top with sliced strawberries which freeze well and draw sweetness from the filling. This pie is a real surprise. The fruit flavors seem far more authentic thus than in the Kool-aid itself (which I don't much like).

Add a extra ingredient, cream cheese. Makes it taste better. I usually make strawberry whenever I make it. I have made grape for someone else they loved it. Quick, easy and good for any occasion.

2-8oz. packages Cream Cheese 2-8oz. tubs Cool Whip 1 cup sugar 1 DRY POWDER Kool Aid (do NOT make the Kool Aid) 2 large graham cracker crusts Soften Cream Cheese for 2 hours, whisk sugar & Kool Aid in measuring cup. In a large bowl, blend sugar & Kool Aid into Cream Cheese, blend in Cool Whip, spoon equally into the two crusts, invert the cover (remove label & dome the cover), crimp the edges of the pie tin over the cover and chill for two hours. 1 Kool Aid package is too strong for just 1 pie & 1 pie is NEVER enough. I created this recipe back in the mid 80's.

I cannot tell you how awesome this recipe is! Made this for Easter. I chose lemonade kool aid. Ended up dicing some fresh strawberries & thin lemon slices. Folded some strawberries into the mix for a lil extra. Used yellow food coloring for effect. Also used the extra creamy Cool whip. This was easy, budget-friendly, and a real crowd pleaser. Will make again & again. In case anyone was wondering, you can make this in advance & freeze it. I made it the morning before Easter. Stuck it in a freezer ziploc, transferred it to the fridge that night about 11 PM. Took it out & ate it at room temp noon the next day. Everyone raved! Thanks, blue:)

Super easy. Save yourself time and energy and buy the prepared crust. I had graham crackers so the 1st pie I attempted was with a homemade crust. It completely fell apart, bummer and I used premade for the 2nd. Orange for 1 mixed berry for the other. I kept it in the freezer longer as we liked it more solid. Cherry next!

Maybe I didn't combine the Jello into the sweetened condensed milk well enough, because the texture was slightly gritty.

What is "frozen whipped topping, thawed"??? Why not just say "Whipped Topping"? Tried this with the kids and got mixed reviews as to if we should throw it in the trash or not. We tried to eat the homemade pie crust around the filling but we're sure it was the Kool-aid mix that spoiled the filling. Wish we had just squeezed a lemon into the mix, or flavored it any other way.

Lemon-Lime Kool-Aid makes the best flavor. I also liked Black Cherry Kool-Aid in an Oreo pie crust!

Great Lemon pie. This is a granddaddy. I made for grandkids. Used 1/2 can condensed mlk and 1/2 bar of cream cheese. Otherwise too sweet for us. Kids ate whole pie at one sitting.

I made this with different flavors of Kool aid, and I think the lemon or lime is my favorite. In the summer months I put in freezer and it's so refreshing, on a hot day.
