  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound bulk spicy pork sausage
  • 2 pounds American cheese, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
  • 1 (4 ounce) can canned diced green chiles, drained
  • 1 (4 ounce) can canned diced jalapeno peppers, drained

Directions

  1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef and sausage over medium-high heat. Make sure to stir occasionally to ensure even cooking.
  2. Once browned, drain the excess fat from the meat mixture.
  3. Add the 1-inch cubes of American cheese to the skillet. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the cheese has fully melted into the meat mixture.
  4. Stir in the tomato sauce, tomato paste, diced green chiles, and jalapeno peppers. Mix thoroughly to combine all the ingredients evenly.
  5. Transfer the dip mixture to a slow cooker and set it to Low heat. Let it cook and stay warm for serving.
