Ingredients

  • 1 (16 ounce) package linguine pasta
  • cup butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 (6.5 ounce) cans chopped clams with juice
  • cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • teaspoon ground white pepper
  • cup grated Parmesan cheese

Directions

  1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add the linguine pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes, or until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. While the pasta cooks, melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped garlic and sliced mushrooms, sauting until the mushrooms are golden brown.
  3. Stir in the chopped clams with their juice, fresh parsley, salt, and white pepper. Continue cooking over medium heat until the mixture is heated through.
  4. Add the drained pasta to the skillet, tossing it with the clam mixture until it is evenly coated.
  5. Serve immediately, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese.
