Cheater Baked Ziti Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 (16 ounce) package dry ziti pasta
- 1 pound bulk hot Italian sausage
- 1 (16 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
- 1 (16 ounce) jar Alfredo sauce
- 1 (8 ounce) package shredded Italian cheese blend
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 350F (175C).
- Fill a large pot with lightly salted water and bring it to a boil. Stir in the ziti pasta, and let it return to a boil. Cook the pasta uncovered, stirring occasionally, until it is tender but still slightly firm (about 12 minutes). Drain well and set aside.
- While the pasta is cooking, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the Italian sausage and cook, stirring frequently, until the sausage becomes crumbly, evenly browned, and no longer pink. Drain any excess grease.
- Once the sausage is ready, stir in the cooked pasta, spaghetti sauce, and Alfredo sauce. Mix everything well to combine.
- Transfer the pasta mixture into a large baking dish. Top with the shredded Italian cheese blend, spreading it evenly over the surface.
- Bake the dish in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes, or until the sauce is bubbly and the cheese is melted and golden brown on top.

Great dish! I found a way to make it even simpler by skipping the step of boiling the ziti. I just mix in the dry noodles with 1 cup of water.
