Roasted Brussels Sprouts and Kielbasa Recipe

Cook Time: 30 minutes

Smoked Kielbasa and Brussels Sprouts

Original recipe (1X) yields 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 pounds Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil, divided
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika, divided
  • teaspoon sea salt
  • teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 pound smoked kielbasa sausage, sliced, or more to taste

Directions

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 400F (200C).

Step 2: In a large bowl, toss the Brussels sprouts with 1 teaspoon of olive oil, 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika, teaspoon of sea salt, and teaspoon of black pepper. Ensure the Brussels sprouts are evenly coated.

Step 3: Spread the seasoned Brussels sprouts onto a baking sheet in an even layer.

Step 4: Roast the Brussels sprouts in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes, or until softened. Stir once halfway through the cooking time for even roasting.

Step 5: After 15 minutes, push the Brussels sprouts to one side of the baking sheet.

Step 6: In the same bowl, toss the sliced kielbasa sausage with the remaining 1 teaspoon of olive oil, 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika, teaspoon of sea salt, and teaspoon of black pepper.

Step 7: Arrange the kielbasa slices, cut-side down, next to the Brussels sprouts on the baking sheet.

Step 8: Return the baking sheet to the oven and roast for another 15 minutes, or until the Brussels sprouts are slightly crispy and the kielbasa is browned and sizzling.

Step 9: Once done, remove from the oven and toss everything together on the baking sheet before serving.

Cooks Note

If you can find it, use 1 to 1 pounds of smoked kielbasa for the best flavor and texture.

Wonderful quick meal option! While organizing my pantry, I decided to include some potatoes and baked them alongside the Brussels sprouts initially. Later on, I discovered a red pepper in the fridge, so I tossed in 3 garlic cloves and some Kielbasa for the remaining bake time. The result was delicious!

After reading the reviews, I decided to enhance it by incorporating chopped apples and red onions into the sausage mixture. I also sprinkled garlic powder and onion powder over the Brussels sprouts. I skipped the potatoes and made potato pancakes instead. This recipe serves as a great foundation for customization.

This dish was fantastic! I decided to enhance it by incorporating diced red potatoes and onions. Additionally, I opted to cook it on a lower heat setting. I thoroughly enjoy reviewing the suggestions and making adjustments based on them!

I would have given it 5 stars if it had more ingredients! I included onions with the Brussels sprouts, as well as yellow squash and red and yellow bell peppers with the sausage. The combination was absolutely delicious. I will definitely be making this again!

Delicious and easy! My husband and I loved this dish. Following recommendations from others, I reduced the oven temperature to 375 and included potatoes and onions with the Brussels sprouts, and added red bell peppers to the kielbasa. We will definitely be making this again.

I decided to incorporate sweet potatoes, regular potatoes, and carrots into the dish! I also increased the amount of olive oil and added a generous sprinkle of garlic powder. The result was absolutely delicious and the clean-up was a breeze! I will definitely be making this recipe again!

Here is my rewritten version of your review: "This dish combines two ingredients that I don't particularly enjoy on their own, but when paired together, they create a delicious recipe. It serves as a satisfying low-carb meal, especially when accompanied by a fresh salad."

Absolutely fantastic recipe! I enjoyed it immensely on its own, but it reached a whole new level of deliciousness when I followed the suggestion to add diced potatoes, as recommended by other reviewers. This addition truly turned it into a satisfying full meal. The smoky paprika really elevated the flavors of the vegetables and made them stand out.
