This recipe was one of the best dishes I have ever made in my lifetime... wish I had known about this recipe eons ago, raves one Allrecipes community member.
We make this all the time, says Robin Raef. So delicious. I double the recipe because these go so quickly, though I keep the oil at 3 tablespoons as that is plenty of oil.
I followed the recipe exactly and the potato wedges turned out perfect, according to Methanie Allen. You could even mix up the seasonings depending upon your tastes.

This is a good sweet potato fries recipe, but I would make a few adjustments: bake in a glass cake pan - they don't stick quite so much and clean up is a lot easier. I toss mine with just enough oil to coat and whatever seasonings I want (salt, pepper, and garlic, and sometimes some rosemary). Also, I bake mine at 400 degrees for 20 minutes, turning halfway through. You can always bake them for longer if they are not quite done, but can't go back in time if you cook them too long!

These turned out great! I see a lot of people saying they weren't crispy enough. If you soak them in cold water for about 45 minutes before baking they will crisp up nicely.

I make these often. I cut them so that they're circular. I use olive oil and bit of salt - no garlic. If you need them done quick, broil them, flipping half-way through - only takes a couple minutes to cook them this way!

This turn awesome and little bit healthier than fried potatoes. I did some changes adding parsley to the mix, and olive oil instead of soybean oil. I put the potatoes on the sprayed pan and some extra olive oil over that (less than 1 teaspoon), baked the first side for 30 min. and turn over the sweet potatoes and drops of olive oil, left them baked for other 15 min. and they were just amazing! Crispy outside and tender inside.

These were sooo good! I looked at a couple recipes but this one was the closest to what I made. No photo because I ate them all right away (:P) My adjustments: preheat oven to 400°F. Cut potatoes the long way with approximately the width/depth as the size of my pinky finger (M-L glove size for reference) at the varying lengths of the potato. I used a glass pan (about 8x4), drizzled about 2-3 table spoons of olive oil and added salt, pepper, paprika and cayenne. I rolled each fry on all sides in the oil mix. I did it half a potato at a time cuz I ran out so I just did the same mix again. I placed them on a think baking sheet with parchment paper in a rows with a 1/2 inch in between each fry. At 400°F I cooked them for 20 minutes, then flipped, cooked for another 10, changed heat to 425°F and cooked for another 10 minutes. I like things soft and crispy and tiiiny bit burnt and this was PERFECT!!! the paprika salt and pepper and cayenne added to the sweet potato’s natural flavor plus a tiny burnt was a delightful balance of sweet, salty, savory and spicy. I also used that glass pan with the tiny remnants of oil - I added some chopped carrots and water for the first 20 minutes, then added broccoli seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic powder and paprika for the last 20 minutes, taking out and stirring every once in a while to get the water contact/crispness balanced on the broccoli.

Excellent recipe! I cook for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through. The flavors are easy to change- I often just do salt, cayenne, and cumin. A staple! Just a tip, I always bake mine on parchment paper. Easy cleanup and crispy fries. :-)

yum! I used canola oil instead of soybean oil and parchment paper instead of cooking spray.

Oven Baked Sweet Potato Fries Haiku: "Baked a bit longer, was hoping they'd 'crispify', but oh man great taste!" Not sure if there's a trick to getting sweet potatoes to get crispier when baked, but texture aside, the taste of these was fantastic. I see one review saying to cook a bit shorter, but I ended up baking mine longer and flipping them more frequently. Always happy to find a sweet potato recipe that's not bathed in sweet ingredients!

Soaked them for about an hour before baking, the texture was great considering they were oven baked. I also added some crushed steak spice in the seasoning mix. Husband, child and guests loved them! Served with Spicy mayo, makes for a great crowd pleaser!

Super simple and delicious. I didn't find a need for seasoning other than course sea salt. I also used organic coconut oil rather than RoundUp/Glyphosate oil that is recommended and opted to keep the fiber and nutrients in the peel. I will definitely be making these on a regular basis.
