Personal preference, so I added some extra seasoning to my liking. I'm thankful I decided to check on the beef halfway through the "8 hours on low" cooking time because if I had left it that long, it would have turned into tough shoe leather. Luckily, it was perfectly tender after just 4 hours. It seems that my basic crockpot may not have a low setting that is truly low enough.
