Microwave Peanut Butter Chocolate Swirl Fudge Recipe

Microwave Peanut Butter Chocolate Swirl Fudge Recipe

Cook Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 (24 ounce) package white almond bark, broken in half
  • 12 ounces peanut butter, or more to taste
  • 3 (1.5 ounce) bars milk chocolate candy bars (such as Hershey's)

Directions:

  1. Line an 8-inch square pan with waxed paper or spray it with cooking spray.
  2. Place 1 half of the almond bark in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until completely melted and smooth (about 1 to 3 minutes).
  3. Stir peanut butter into the melted almond bark until well combined.
  4. Add the second half of the almond bark to the bowl, pushing it down to the bottom. Heat the mixture in the microwave for 1 minute, then stir to break up any large chunks.
  5. Continue heating the mixture in 30-second intervals until the almond bark is fully melted and smooth.
  6. Pour the melted fudge mixture into the prepared square pan. Smooth the top with a spatula if necessary.
  7. Next, melt the milk chocolate bars in a separate microwave-safe bowl, heating in 30-second intervals and stirring after each, for about 1 to 3 minutes until completely melted.
  8. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the fudge mixture. Use a knife to swirl the chocolate into the fudge, creating a marbled effect.
  9. Refrigerate the fudge for about 1 hour or until it is fully set and solid.

Cooks Note: If the fudge is refrigerated for too long, it may become difficult to cut and might break easily. Letting it sit at room temperature will soften it slightly.

Creamy richness made easy. Keep in mind that microwave power varies. The prep time for a 1000W microwave is accurate, but allow around 2 hours for cooling. For easier cutting, let it sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes once cooled. I found that using a Pyrex measuring cup to melt the chocolate and pour/drizzle over the fudge worked perfectly.

I thoroughly enjoyed this recipe because it was quick, required just a few ingredients, and allowed for customization. Whether you prefer nuts or extra chocolate, you can easily adjust the recipe to suit your taste. My family and I loved this dish during the Christmas holidays :)
