Cinnamon Roll Monkey Bread

Monkey Bread

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 (12.4-ounce) package refrigerated cinnamon roll dough with icing
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400F (200C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix the white sugar and cinnamon together. Set aside the icing packet that comes with the cinnamon roll dough.
  3. Cut the cinnamon rolls into quarters. Dip each piece into the melted butter, then coat it in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  4. Place the coated dough pieces in the prepared loaf pan, arranging them evenly.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the dough has risen and the top is golden brown.
  6. Once baked, drizzle the icing over the monkey bread. Let it cool in the pan for 5 minutes before turning it out onto a plate.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy!

Cook's Note:

You can add 1/2 cup of chopped pecans or walnuts for extra crunch. For added sweetness, drizzle with caramel sauce before serving.

i had too much extra sugar and cinnamon, as well as butter. just poured on top. Simple, quick, and easy. I put it in the airfryer at 400 and it came out great! I used the cinnabon cinnamon roll dough from sam's club. Delicous!

We all liked that it was not a sticky bun loaded with sauce. I used a rounded 1/3 cup sugar and it was just enough. Next time i will put all into a mixing bowl rather than dip each piece. I, too, had leftover butter that I poured over the top and it sank to the bottom and made just a hint of the sticky bun sauce. I used a glass loaf pan and it was done in 20 minutes. I used Pillsbury Orange Rolls. Yummy!

So easy... I added pecan pieces too.. I also had leftover butter.. and I lined the loaf pan with parchment paper so cleanup was a breeze! Make this! Its fab!

I did mine in a bundt pan and doubled the recipe. I also dumped the butter and sugar together and poured over the pieces rather than dipping the individual pieces. Amazing.

I made this with generic store bought cinnamon rolls because they were on sale and this came out so so good! I used dairy free butter to toss my pieces in and used the remaining over the top of the pieces before placing in the oven. I can’t wait to try different variations of this recipe and make some with apple pie filling. Yum!

Love this! Make it every year for the holidays. If you add a can of pumpkin pie filling and mix it around before you put it in the baking pan they are insane! 😋

This was so easy and fun to make. I thought it would be too sweet but it tasted just like cinnabuns. I cooked at 400 connection bake for 22 minutes and it was overcooked a bit (but I was the only one that thought so, the rest of the family loved it). I should have waited for it to cool a bit before drizzling icing. Will make again (and again and again...)

Simple and soooooo delicious!! We are monkey bread lovers to begin with, so I was pretty confident that we were gonna like this one and it did NOT disappoint! This made a quick dessert and the family gobbled it up...a keeper for sure-yum! Thanks for sharing 😊
