This is a really good banana bread recipe! I had to use gluten free flour due to allergies, but otherwise made as written. It is an easy t to follow recipe. It turned out a little more dense than in the original picture, but was so delicious! The banana and brown sugar add a nice extra sweetness. I will be making it again!

This turned out pretty well considering how few ingredients it has and how quickly you can get this into the oven. I placed the fresh banana slices in the top center of the batter, but they slid down to the sides. That didn’t matter much because they taste really good. That little sprinkle of brown sugar on the top of the batter and banana brings just enough sweetness to make it interesting. I was hoping for more banana flavor, and that makes me wonder if one more small ripe banana would add that needed additional flavor. The texture was a bit dense, and maybe an extra banana might lighten it, but IDK. We enjoyed this for breakfast with some honey butter, and I might add some chopped nuts next time.

This was an easy recipe to make. If you put this bread into a bag after cooling the bananas on the top will release moisture into the bag and make the bread mushy. My kid LOVED the banana on top. This makes a denser bread. With a tight crumb. I think it would be helpful to note how easy it is to make your own self rising flour with ingredients in your kitchen ( 1cup flour minus 1 3/4tsp, 1 1/2 tsp baking powder, and 1/4 tsp salt). I like to add vanilla to my banana bread.
