Air Fryer Spicy Roasted Peanuts Recipe
These Air Fryer Spicy Spanish Peanuts are a perfect crunchy snack with a kick of heat. The combination of olive oil, seafood seasoning, and cayenne pepper elevates the natural flavor of peanuts, while the air fryer ensures a crispy texture. Enjoy these as an appetizer or a snack any time of day!
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon seafood seasoning (such as Old Bay)
- teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 8 ounces raw Spanish peanuts
- Salt to taste
Directions
Step 1: Preheat your air fryer to 320F (160C).
Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together olive oil, seafood seasoning, and cayenne pepper until well combined.
Step 3: Add the raw Spanish peanuts to the bowl and stir to coat them evenly with the seasoning mixture.
Step 4: Transfer the seasoned peanuts to the air fryer basket, spreading them out in a single layer for even cooking.
Step 5: Cook the peanuts in the preheated air fryer for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, toss the peanuts to ensure even cooking, and continue cooking for another 10 minutes.
Step 6: Once the peanuts are golden and crispy, remove the basket from the air fryer. Season with salt to taste and toss to coat evenly.
Step 7: Return the peanuts to the air fryer and cook for an additional 5 minutes to allow the seasoning to set and the peanuts to become extra crispy.
Step 8: Transfer the peanuts to a paper towel-lined plate to cool before serving.

I followed the recipe to the letter, but the end result was disappointing. The cookies turned out burnt and didn't resemble the pictures at all. I don't plan on making these again.
