Easy Indian-Style Okra Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 pound sliced fresh okra
  • teaspoon ground cumin
  • teaspoon ground ginger
  • teaspoon ground coriander
  • teaspoon ground black pepper
  • Salt to taste

Directions

  1. Heat the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Once melted, add the chopped onion and cook until it becomes tender.
  2. Stir in the sliced okra along with the ground cumin, ground ginger, ground coriander, black pepper, and salt. Mix well to coat the ingredients evenly.
  3. Continue to cook and stir for a few minutes until the okra starts to soften.
  4. Lower the heat to medium-low and cover the skillet. Let it cook for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the okra is tender and fully cooked.
