Simple Sweet and Spicy Chicken Wraps Recipe
Chicken Wraps with Mayonnaise-Cucumber Sauce
This recipe yields 8 servings and offers a delicious combination of tender chicken, fresh spinach, and a zesty mayonnaise-cucumber sauce, all wrapped in a soft flour tortilla. Perfect for a quick lunch or dinner!
Ingredients
- For the Sauce:
- cup mayonnaise
- cup finely chopped seedless cucumber
- 1 tablespoon honey
- teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Ground black pepper to taste
- For the Wraps:
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 pounds skinless, boneless chicken breast halves (cut into thin strips)
- 1 cup thick and chunky salsa
- 8 (10-inch) flour tortillas
- 1 (10-ounce) bag baby spinach leaves
Directions
Step 1: Prepare the sauce by mixing together the mayonnaise, chopped cucumber, honey, cayenne pepper, and black pepper in a bowl. Stir until smooth. Cover the bowl and refrigerate until you're ready to use it.
Step 2: In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken strips and cook, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is golden and no longer pink in the center, about 8 minutes.
Step 3: Once the chicken is cooked, stir in the salsa, honey, and cayenne pepper. Reduce the heat to medium-low and let the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, to allow the flavors to blend together.
Step 4: Meanwhile, stack the tortillas in the microwave (about 4 at a time) and heat for 20 to 30 seconds, or until they are warm and pliable.
Step 5: Take each tortilla and spread 1 tablespoon of the mayonnaise-cucumber sauce on it. Layer the spinach leaves on top of the sauce, then place about cup of the chicken mixture on top of the spinach.
Step 6: Fold the bottom of the tortilla up about 2 inches, then start rolling from the right side. When the wrap is halfway rolled, fold the top of the tortilla down to enclose the filling. Continue rolling tightly until you have a compact cylinder-shaped wrap.

This dish is incredibly tasty! I made some modifications to the recipe. I swapped out mayo for sour cream and reduced the amount of cayenne pepper because it was too spicy in the original version. Additionally, I topped it with avocado. I prefer doubling the sauce quantity to have some extra because the sauce is just so delicious!

Outstanding and original wrap/meal/recipe! We followed the recipe exactly and absolutely enjoyed it! If I were to add anything, it would probably be sliced jalapeños and/or green onions. Nonetheless, these wraps are ideal for busy weeknights or a speedy Saturday lunch just the way they are! I will definitely be making this again! Many thanks to Nuclear Rich for this amazing recipe! This dish was fantastic!
