Ingredients

  • 2 pounds tater tots, thawed
  • 1 (16 ounce) sour cream
  • 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 (8 ounce) package sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded

  • cup butter, softened
  • teaspoon seasoning salt
  • 1 dash garlic powder
  • 3 cups cornflakes cereal
  • cup butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese, or to taste
  • teaspoon paprika, or to taste

Directions

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350F (175C). Grease a 9x13-inch casserole dish to prevent sticking.

Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, combine thawed tater tots, sour cream, condensed cream of chicken soup, shredded Cheddar cheese, chopped onion, softened butter, seasoning salt, and a dash of garlic powder. Mix everything together until well combined.

Step 3: Transfer the mixture into the prepared casserole dish, spreading it evenly across the bottom.

Step 4: In a medium-sized bowl, combine the cornflakes cereal and melted butter. Mix thoroughly to coat the cereal evenly with the butter.

Step 5: Sprinkle the buttered cornflakes mixture evenly over the casserole, ensuring it covers the top completely.

Step 6: Finish by sprinkling grated Parmesan cheese and paprika over the top for extra flavor and color.
