Easy Chicken Noodle Casserole Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 (3 pound) chicken - cooked, deboned, and shredded
- 6 ounces spaghetti or egg noodles
- 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
- cup water
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Directions
Step 1: Gather all your ingredients and set them aside. This will help streamline the process.
Step 2: Cook the spaghetti or egg noodles in a large pot of salted boiling water. Follow package directions until al dente, about 8 to 10 minutes. Once done, drain and set the pasta aside.
Step 3: Preheat your oven to 350F (175C).
Step 4: In a 9x13-inch baking dish, combine the shredded chicken, cooked spaghetti, both cans of condensed soups, water, salt, and pepper. Stir everything together to evenly mix the ingredients.
Step 5: Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the mixture, covering it completely.
Step 6: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the cheese has melted and turned golden brown.
Step 7: Allow the dish to cool for a few minutes before serving to prevent burns and enhance flavor.
Cook's Note
You can substitute 2 pounds of chicken breast for the whole chicken. For a quicker preparation, cook the chicken ahead of time and freeze it, so that its ready when you need it.

This recipe was simple and straightforward. I opted not to add any salt as the soup already had high salt content (I used low-sodium soup). Additionally, I tossed in frozen peas and carrots, as well as some cooked broccoli and canned mushrooms to enhance the flavor and add a pop of color. The end result was fantastic, especially when paired with fresh French bread. Thank you for the inspiration, and I hope you don't mind my slight modifications!

Absolutely loved this dish! I cooked 2 chicken breasts in a crockpot with sliced jalapeños and minced garlic, then added sautéed mushrooms, diced onions, more garlic, and thawed frozen peas. It turned out fantastic!

This recipe was surprisingly simple to follow. I first cooked the chicken breast in a pressure cooker and then shredded it. I prepared two different versions of the dish - one with regular cream of chicken soup and the other with a dairy-free homemade cream of chicken soup made using plant-based ingredients. All three variations turned out absolutely delicious!

I found this recipe to be incredibly straightforward and the end result was absolutely delicious! I made a few tweaks to suit my preferences. Instead of cooking my own chicken, I used a pre-cooked rotisserie chicken from the store. I swapped water for milk, omitted salt due to the high sodium content in the soups, threw in a frozen mix of vegetables with green beans, carrots, peas, and corn, opted for egg noodles over spaghetti, and boiled the noodles with garlic powder to enhance their flavor. To finish it off, I sprinkled crushed garlic butter croutons on top of the casserole. This recipe was a breeze to put together, and my boyfriend and his friend both adored it.

I enhanced the flavor by incorporating chopped red pepper, onion powder, Cajun seasoning, and spicy pepper medley. Simple and delicious!
