Basic Sheet Pan Chicken Sausage and Roasted Cabbage Recipe

Ingredients

  • Cooking spray
  • 8 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1 apple, sliced
  • 1 white onion, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 8 links chicken sausage

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425F (220C). Grease a rimmed baking sheet with cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, sliced apple, sliced onion, olive oil, vinegar, salt, and black pepper. Toss everything together until the ingredients are well coated.
  3. Spread the cabbage mixture in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake the mixture in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, or until the cabbage is slightly tender.
  5. After 20 minutes, toss the cabbage mixture and place the sausages on top of the vegetables.
  6. Return the baking sheet to the oven and bake for another 10 minutes, or until the sausages are crispy and the cabbage has caramelized.
