Honey-Chipotle Chicken Recipe

Ingredients
- cup honey
- 6 cloves garlic
- 4 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
- 6 skinless, boneless chicken breasts (or more to taste)
- 2 (15 ounce) cans black beans, drained and rinsed
Directions
- Start by blending the honey, garlic, and chipotle peppers in adobo sauce in a food processor until smooth.
- Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of a slow cooker and pour the honey-chipotle sauce over the chicken.
- Set the slow cooker to low heat and cook the chicken for 5 hours.
- After 5 hours, transfer the chicken to a bowl and shred it using two forks.
- Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker and stir in the black beans.
- Let the mixture continue to cook on low for an additional 30 minutes, until fully cooked through.
Cook's Note
This dish can be used as a filling for burritos with your favorite burrito fixings. If you prefer, skip the beans and serve the chicken on a bun for a delicious sandwich option.
