Grilled Beef Skewers Recipe
This flavorful and easy-to-make grilled beef skewers recipe is perfect for gatherings and quick meals. Marinated in a blend of soy sauce, molasses, and spices, these skewers are a great balance of savory and sweet. Here's how to make them:
Ingredients
- cup soy sauce
- cup olive oil
- cup water
- 2 tablespoons molasses
- 2 teaspoons mustard powder
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- teaspoon garlic powder
- teaspoon onion powder
- 2 pounds flank steak, cut into thin strips
- 32 wooden skewers (8-inch long), soaked in water
Directions
Step 1: In a large resealable bag, combine the soy sauce, olive oil, water, molasses, mustard powder, ground ginger, garlic powder, and onion powder. Seal the bag and shake to mix the ingredients well.
Step 2: Add the thinly sliced steak strips to the bag. Seal it again and shake gently to coat the steak in the marinade. Refrigerate for at least 8 hours to allow the meat to marinate and absorb the flavors.
Step 3: Preheat your ovens broiler. Line a broiling rack with aluminum foil and place it in the oven.
Step 4: Thread the marinated steak strips onto the soaked wooden skewers.
Step 5: Arrange the skewers on the broiling rack. Broil the steak for 3-4 minutes on each side, until the meat reaches your desired level of doneness.
Step 6: Once the skewers are cooked, remove them from the broiler and arrange them on a platter to serve.
Note:
You can also grill the skewers outdoors using the same cooking time as the broiling method.
