Air Fryer Parmesan Tilapia Recipe

Air Fryer Parmesan-Crusted Tilapia

Ingredients

  • cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • teaspoon salt
  • teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 4 (6 ounce) tilapia fillets, thawed if frozen
  • Cooking spray
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley (optional)
  • 4 lemon wedges (optional)

Directions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400F (200C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the Parmesan cheese, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Pat the tilapia fillets dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  4. Lightly spritz both sides of the fillets with cooking spray.
  5. Press each fillet into the Parmesan mixture, ensuring both sides are well coated. Shake off any excess mixture, then spritz both sides of the fillets with cooking spray again.
  6. Place the coated fillets into the air fryer basket. Be sure not to overcrowd the basket; you may need to cook in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
  7. Cook the fillets for 6 to 8 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork. If needed, flip the fillets halfway through cooking.
  8. Once done, sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side for a burst of flavor.
