Baked Tofu Slices Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 (18 ounce) package extra-firm tofu, sliced 1/2-inch thick
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • Sauce:

  • 1 green onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Sriracha hot sauce, or to taste
  • 1 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon chile-garlic sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • teaspoon minced garlic

Directions

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 450F (230C).

Step 2: Arrange the tofu slices on a baking sheet. Brush olive oil over the top of each slice and season with salt and pepper.

Step 3: Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the tofu is lightly browned on top.

Step 4: While the tofu is baking, prepare the sauce. In a small bowl, stir together the green onion, soy sauce, Sriracha, sesame oil, chile-garlic sauce, sesame seeds, and garlic.

Step 5: Once the tofu is done, spoon the prepared sauce over the tofu slices.

Step 6: Continue baking the tofu with the sauce for an additional 3-5 minutes, or until the sauce is warmed.
