Steak Fingers Recipe
Recipe for Crispy Fried Steak Strips
Ingredients
- cup vegetable oil
- 1 pound round steak
- 2 eggs
- cup milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cups all-purpose flour (for coating)
Directions
Step 1: Tenderize the steak by gently pounding it with a mallet. Then, cut the steak into strips, each approximately 3 inches long.
Step 2: In a shallow dish, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until the mixture is smooth and well blended.
Step 3: In a large skillet, heat cup of vegetable oil over medium heat (or enough oil to cover the bottom of the pan). Wait until the oil is hot but not smoking.
Step 4: Dredge the steak strips in flour, shaking off any excess. Then, dip the floured steak pieces into the egg mixture, ensuring they're evenly coated. Return the steak to the flour, coating it once again.
Step 5: Carefully place the coated steak strips into the hot oil, frying them for about 2 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown and crispy.
Step 6: Once cooked, transfer the steak strips to a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.
Serve hot, and enjoy your crispy, tender fried steak strips!
