Garlic Tuscan Chicken Recipe

Garlic Tuscan Chicken Recipe

Cook Time: 15 minutes

This delicious recipe serves 4 people. It combines tender chicken breasts with a creamy, flavorful sauce, making it a perfect meal for any occasion.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pounds skinless, boneless chicken breasts, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • cup chicken broth
  • cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup spinach, chopped
  • cup chopped sun-dried tomatoes

Directions:

Step 1: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced chicken breasts and cook until they are browned and no longer pink in the center, about 3 to 5 minutes per side. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside on a plate.

Step 2: In the same skillet, add the heavy cream, chicken broth, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Whisk the sauce over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes, until it begins to thicken.

Step 3: Add the chopped spinach and sun-dried tomatoes to the skillet. Let the mixture simmer for about 1 minute, or until the spinach starts to wilt.

Step 4: Return the chicken to the skillet and cook for an additional 2 to 3 minutes, or until the chicken is heated through and fully coated with the creamy sauce.

Cooks Note:

You can substitute salmon for chicken in this recipe. If using salmon, poach or bake it separately and prepare the sauce independently.

Made the recipe just as written. Awesome and so easy. That says a lot from someone who is challenged in the kitchen. Will make again!

I double or double+half the sauce for serving over pasta or noodles. Drain off all but 2-3 TBSP of chicken drippings before making the sauce, otherwise your saucewill be thin and watery. And be sure to squeeze out the liquid if using frozen spinach, too.

This was very good! Edits: I chopped the chicken into chunks, added the whole 14.5 ounce can of of chicken broth, stirred in a 16-oz. package of gnocchi, and substituted jarred, roasted red peppers for the sun-dried tomatoes. Oh, and I added more garlic and Parmesan cheese. It turned out great, and made enough for my husband and I to have leftovers the next day.

I make it often, but with one satisfying change. After removing the chicken from the pan, I prepare the sauce with a little more chicken broth and add gnocchi. Then add chicken back to the pan with the sauce and gnocchi.

It was good. I used chicken tenders and fresh garlic instead of the powder. I thought the parmesan took over and will make it again next time using on 1/4 cup of that. I used a tiny bit of corn starch to thicken the sauce. Served it over linguini.

Delicious and super easy base recipe! Pretty enough to serve to guests. I doubled the sauce as others suggested. Here’s the changes I made: - cooked chicken with a little salt and poultry seasoning, set aside, drained most of the liquid from pan - added 0.5 teaspoon dried minced garlic to pan and cooked until fragrant (a few seconds) - Instead of 2 C cream (didn’t have) I used 1 can cream of mushroom soup and about 0.75 C milk - used 1 C chicken broth, added garlic powder, dried basil, and oregano a little less than 0.25 teaspoon each - did half of cheese as Parmesan and half as fresh grated Asiago, probably used a cup total - cooked and whisked sauce for about 10 minutes on medium until thickened - added 1.5-2 C colorful medley cherry/grape sized tomatoes And cooked until about to burst (maybe 5ish minutes) - added chicken to warm and soak up sauce about 3 minutes - took out some sauce, chicken, tomatoes for kids - added About 1 large handful of frozen chopped spinach enough to make it super colorful and pretty, about 1-2 minutes until warmed Served on Thin spaghetti

This is Amazing!!! And SO FAST!!! I just added more liquid (both broth and heavy crème) for more sauce, which I do for every recipe. Added more cheese also to adjust for the added liquid. This is like a five star restaurant meal! Thank you!

My family loved it. I, however did make some substitutions. I used chicken thighs, because they stay juicy, white wine, instead of broth and roasted red peppers instead of the tomatoes.. I served it with a leaf lettuce salad with a sharp dressing and garlic bread

I'm a pretty seasoned cook. Made as written. Knew before adding the italian seasoning that it was too much. 1/2 teaspoon would have been plenty. I realize that it's garlic tuscan chicken, but I would have halved the garlic as well. Additionally, I prefer to cook with fresh garlic as I'm not a big fan of garlic powder. That being said, it was good, just not a 5 star recipe. I'll try it again with the noted adjustments.

This is a fabulous recipe. I double the recipe and serve it with angel hair pasta. Sometimes I substitute the chicken for Italian sausage. I cook it separately from the sauce, slice it, and add it when I add the spinach. It's a household favorite.

Made it almost exactly, except I heated fresh garlic in the pan before adding the cream, etc.; and added extra tomatoes/ spinach. My only issue was that there was not nearly enough! Family tore it up!

Made as written. Needed at minimum s/p and added more garlic. Would make again with some tweaks

Simplicity is what makes this dish fantastic. Substituted fresh cherry tomatoes for the sundried tomatoes. Cut them and sauteed them after removing chicken in same pan for about 5 minutes. Served with bow tie pasta. I was a hit!

4 1/2 stars. This was a nice recipe for a weeknight meal. I added extra spinach, and seasoned the chicken prior to cooking it. Otherwise, the recipe was made as written.

I will definitely make this again. Next time, I'm going to use real garlic and add a half teaspoon of lemon.

Very easy added salt and pepper to chicken before cooking it, and paprika to sauce. Used whole spinach. Turned out amazing
