Air Fryer Chicken Tenders Recipe

Air Fryer Chicken Tenders Recipe

Cook Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon parsley flakes
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 pounds chicken tenderloins
  • Cooking spray

Directions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400F (200C) according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, paprika, parsley, seasoned salt, and black pepper.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the egg until smooth.
  4. Dip each chicken tenderloin into the seasoned flour, ensuring it's fully coated. Next, dip it into the beaten egg, then return it to the flour mixture, coating it again.
  5. Lightly coat the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Arrange the coated chicken tenders in the basket, being careful not to overcrowd them.
  6. Lightly mist the tops of the chicken tenders with cooking spray.
  7. Cook the tenders in the preheated air fryer for 8 minutes.
  8. Flip the chicken tenders over, then mist the tops with more cooking spray. Continue cooking for an additional 7-8 minutes, or until an instant-read thermometer inserted into the center reads 165F (74C).
  9. Repeat the process with the remaining chicken tenders, if necessary.

Only cook 16 Mins TOTAL! There is a misprint on the cooking time at the top of the recipe, otherwise good recipe. The more heavily breaded the strips are the less likely they are to stick to the basket.

Family loved this recipe, especially the Paprika. I added hot pepper flakes and dropped the temperature to 375 on the second batch for a little more moisture.

Homemade tenders are the winner winner chicken dinner! Crispy, quick and friendly flavor recipe enjoyable for kids, adults and seniors alike. Next time I make this I will use a brine and without the 2nd dredge of flower. I used avocado spray oil and Trader Joe’s onion salt as additions.

An easy recipe to make and grandkids liked it. I added some garlic powder, onion powder to give the chicken tenders more flavor. I did add some bread crumbs. First, I dipped the chicken in flour, then egg and last bread crumbs. I also sprayed the tenders with cooking spray.

These turned out well. I served with an Asian dipping sauce, and cooked for 14 minutes. Cooking time can vary depending on the brand and size of your air fryer, and next time I’ll try 12 minutes on mine. Just about any side dish could be served with these tenders. Easy weeknight meal, and this will head into my air fryer “make again” collection.

this is really for those who weren't super happy with the amount of flavor, and for everyone else out there, too. If you really want boldness to your flavors, always, ALWAYS season the chicken naked before you start your dredging. I find this important for frying pork, also.

This is a simple recipe & easy to make. My husband & son enjoyed them. I'm new to cooking with an Airfryer. The cooking time was way to long. This recipe waz a complete disappointment. It smelled delicious cooking, but I was disappointed the tenders had no flavor to them. I will test this recipe out again. Next time I'll tweak the spices & the cook time.

Very good and super easy. I finished with broil on high to brown up more.

I'm making them right now .. chicken is tender and outside is crispy .. but meat is a little dry :( .. id suggest a little brine time maybe overnight so the chicken can soak up all that moisture

Made as instructed, turned out very well. Although next time I will try another user's idea and season chicken first before everything else. Chicken strips were tender enough to cut with a fork! We enjoyed them but as stated before needed more seasoning to taste. So yes, a keeper with easy to follow directions, quick and easy and effortless to make. I'm sure this will be a family favorite once I get the seasoning ratio down.

My family really liked it!! I followed recipe only adding some garlic powder to it. My daughters thought the breading could have been crispier so I might try panko bread crumbs next time.

It still had flour on parts of the tenders. Otherwise the tenders were cooked well but not well flavored.

I didn't have any paprika or parsley so I use something else instead of all season blend

These had a nice crunchy crust! Be sure to watch for doneness, since chicken tenders can be dry, if overcooked. Our tenders were most successful when I made sure all the flour was "wet" with the oil. In areas where I missed, or was too light with the spray, the flour didn't turn into crust. It stayed white and sort of dusty. My bad, though. I served as a main, with a sweet-spicy sauce, and my fellas were happy! I could easily see these diced and topping a great salad. Thanks for the recipe!

Loved these! Followed the recipe, and couldn’t be happier with the results. Great flavors. I made a quick honey mustard sauce for dipping. Will definitely make again!
