Grilled Swordfish Steaks with Cilantro-Lime Butter Recipe
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Ingredients
- 4 (6-ounce) swordfish steaks, 1-inch thick
- 1 tablespoon olive oil, or as needed
- cup butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 teaspoon chopped jalapeno pepper
- 1 teaspoon finely shredded lime zest
- teaspoon lime juice
Directions
- Preheat your outdoor grill to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grill grate to prevent sticking.
- Brush both sides of the swordfish steaks with olive oil.
- Place the swordfish steaks on the preheated grill. Cook the fish for about 8 to 12 minutes, or until it flakes easily with a fork. Be sure to brush the fish with more olive oil halfway through and flip it once for even cooking.
- While the swordfish is grilling, prepare the cilantro lime butter by combining melted butter, chopped cilantro, jalapeno, lime zest, and lime juice in a small bowl. Stir until well mixed.
- Once the swordfish is cooked, remove it from the grill and serve with the cilantro lime butter mixture on the side for drizzling.
Cook's Notes
If you prefer, you can substitute swordfish with halibut or salmon for a different flavor profile.
