Air Fryer Spicy Bay Scallops Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 pound bay scallops, rinsed and patted dry
- 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 2 teaspoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Directions:
- Preheat your air fryer to 400F (200C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the bay scallops, smoked paprika, chili powder, olive oil, garlic powder, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Stir until the scallops are evenly coated with the spices.
- Transfer the seasoned scallops to the air fryer basket, spreading them out in an even layer.
- Air fry for about 8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time to ensure the scallops cook evenly.
- Once cooked through, remove from the air fryer and serve hot.

The dish was a little too spicy for my taste. In the future, I'll omit the cayenne pepper.

I accidentally used too much oil, which affected the crispiness. It might have turned out crispier if I had stuck to the original amount. Next time, I would use this spice mix with fresh chicken pieces. The flavor was delicious and the spice level was just right, not too spicy.

These came out fantastic! I used a parchment liner to minimize the mess, and they turned out moist and flavorful. I only used regular paprika along with some other seasonings that I had on hand.
