Rewritten review: I absolutely loved this recipe! Following the suggestions of others, I added diced onions and garlic to the ham. I estimated about three tablespoons of onions and a heaping teaspoon of garlic. The combination of ham, onions, and garlic filled up my measuring cup to the two cup line before heating them together. I decided to use only 3/4 of the box of fettuccine, and it turned out just right in terms of portion. Although the sauce could probably handle the whole box, I felt this was the perfect amount. I thought of adding peas or mushrooms, but my picky 11-year-old daughter would have definitely objected. However, after tasting the dish, I believe mushrooms would be a great addition, even though it's delicious without them. This recipe is fantastic, and I will definitely be making it again. Even my selective daughter enjoyed it, which is a huge compliment considering she usually avoids new foods.

This recipe was incredibly easy and delicious! I opted to use just one pan for quicker cleanup. Following some suggestions, I reduced the amount of pasta and used shredded parmesan from a can instead of grated. While the pasta was boiling, I prepared the ham. Once the pasta was ready, I drained it and then used the same pan to cook the ham. I then added the pasta back into the pan and heated everything through. The ham and sauce only took a few minutes to cook. It was so simple to put together and was ready to serve in just 20 minutes. The dish turned out really tasty! I appreciate this recipe!

This recipe turned out to be fantastic! I mostly stuck to the instructions, but swapped fettuccine for penne and included 1/4 cup of diced onions when sauteing the ham. Additionally, I mixed in 1/2 cup of frozen petite peas after combining the pasta with the sauce. The warmth from the sauce and pasta beautifully cooked the peas to perfection.

I followed the suggestions of previous cooks and incorporated several additions to the recipe: 8 oz of sliced baby portobello mushrooms, half of a chopped sweet onion, 12 oz of pasta, freshly steamed baby peas, and freshly grated parsley. I added the peas at the very end to ensure the sauce stayed intact. The result was amazing! I'm still in disbelief that I was able to make it!

I replaced heavy cream with fat-free half and half to make it lighter, sautéed shallots and garlic with the ham, and added frozen peas to the pasta water for the last few minutes of cooking. The dish turned out really delicious, my family loved it! It was easy to make and will definitely be a regular recipe for us!

I made this dish tonight for my husband and me. It was absolutely delicious! I opted for a sauce made with half & half cream and sour cream. I also included sliced mushrooms, diced onions, diced red peppers, and diced ham. My husband, who is usually a picky eater (preferring meat and potatoes), absolutely loved it!

I modified the recipe completely, incorporating several new ingredients and eliminating others. The end result was fantastic.

Absolutely adored this recipe! I decided to enhance it by incorporating sliced jalapeños from a jar. The subtle kick of spice paired perfectly with the creamy pasta, creating a major hit with the whole family.

Wonderful! I was tasked with making dinner using leftover ham, and initially could only think of ham and scalloped potatoes – how unexciting! After searching for recipes, I came across this one, and it sounded absolutely delightful. And indeed it was!
