I can't quit eating these! I had no idea you could cook broccoli this way. It is SO good! Thanks! Update since some found this salty - I never use salt in any recipe (except breadmaker). These are really tasty. If you fear the lemon might be too strong, use less the first time.

I actually had a suggestion for anyone of you who loves garlic! This recipe is so simple but for flavor. Instead of using plain garlic, I use roasted garlic. Take a garlic bowl cut the tops off and wrap it in aluminum foil place in the oven at about 400° for about 20 minutes. When you used oven baked garlic it's a little on the sweeter side and goes very nicely with the way the broccoli caramelizes in the oven. If you like garlic that is. Everything else was perfect and this is the best recipe I have found so far! I didn't make any changes except leaving the broccoli to cook for five min more, I like mine well done

Before I try a new recipe, I look to see how many reviews it has and I read a handful of reviews in order to tweek the recipe. This recipe did not disappoint. I cut my broccoli into rather large pieces asnd I even cut the stalks and baked those, as well. I put the broccoli into a ziploc bag first with a generous amount of EVOO and shook the bag to coat the florets evenly. I used 1/4 tsp of Kosher salt, 1/8 tsp pepper and 2 cloves of garlic. Popped it in the oven for 15 minutes and they were cooked. I transferred the broccoli to a bowl and added a little melted butter - because butter makes everything better. The broccoli is just as addictive as everyone has indicated. This made a great easy side dish for my brined herb baked boneless chicken breasts.

This recipe is fantastic as long as ONE important change is made: The salt should realistically be no more than 1/4 teaspoon, I might even recommend taking it out completely and seasoning with salt to taste at the end. Like many other commenters have been saying, adding an extra clove or more of garlic will do wonders if you care for it.

This was very tasty. I made some modifications as follows: I used garlic flavored olive oil. Since I never have garlic in the house, I used minced garlic from the jar, and a lot of it. It was going in the oven with something else which was set at 375 deg, so it was in for 30 min and was perfect. At the end, I sprinkled it with lemon juice and grated parmesan-reggiano cheese. Hubby loved it. This is a keeper.

Needed a good vegetable for a spur of the moment dinner and the only thing I had was a bag of frozen broccoli! This recipe sounded so good that I defrosted the broccoli (microwaved slightly until it was no longer frozen, but still firm) and then made this recipe. The only other change I made was that I had two fresh sweet Italian red peppers, which I sliced and added. Now this is my favorite broccoli recipe. Loved it!

I could have just eaten this for dinner tonight! I too was nervous about the small amount of evoo but was perfect. I used pink Himalayan salt and an extra couple garlic cloves minced. I let sit in the bowl, “marinating” while I finished my other dishes/meal prep. Cooked 15 min @ 400 was perfect in my oven. The splash of lemon juice? Bites of roasted garlic with the broccoli? Divine!! Thanks for an easy yet wonderful side dish!

I've been making this forever! I started out with roasted cauliflower, but then I added the broccoli. I put a couple T lemon juice in a giant Ziploc bag with the florets, garlic, and olive oil (I omit salt & pepper - you can always addit at the end). Just shake it a few times and dump it in a big roasting pan. We like for the broccoli to get almost burnt on the ends (makes it sweet!), so it goes in the oven for about an hour.

I prefer a stir-fry in skillet type cooking for broccoli. Add toasted slivered almonds to enhance the broccoli flavor. So delicious! Thank you for the recipe.

I added waaaay more garlic and lemon to the recipe. I also air fried them instead of putting them in the oven. Will make it again.

Oh, my goodness....this is an amazing recipe!! I did use less salt (1/4 tsp) and more garlic. I also sprinkled some onion burger spice on it too. This is really delicious raw also......we ate a 1/4 of the recipe before we cooked it. LOL But then I covered it with foil for the first 10 mins and then cooked for 20 uncovered. Mine did get just a touch chared and we loved the flavor it gave!!

Okay but not as crispy as I would've thought for the pictures. It's just burnt slightly.

This is a delicious recipe. Because I can't resist, I added red onion and cremini mushrooms quartered. Still yummy!
