Alfredo Chicken Recipe
Ingredients
This recipe was developed at its original yield. Ingredient amounts are automatically adjusted, but cooking times and steps remain unchanged. Note that not all recipes scale perfectly.
- 6 ounces spiral pasta
- 2 pounds chicken meat, cut into strips
- 1 (.7 ounce) package Italian dressing mix
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 (16 ounce) jar prepared Alfredo sauce
Directions
Step 1: Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook until tender yet firm to the bite, about 8 minutes. Drain the pasta and set aside.
Step 2: Sprinkle the chicken strips with Italian dressing mix and garlic powder, ensuring even coverage.
Step 3: Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken in batches if necessary, and pan-fry until the juices run clear and the chicken is no longer pink in the center. This should take about 10 minutes per batch. Be sure to turn the chicken pieces halfway through cooking (about 5 minutes).
Step 4: Transfer the cooked chicken to a serving bowl. Add the cooked pasta and toss together to combine.
Step 5: Pour the Alfredo sauce over the chicken and pasta mixture. Stir thoroughly until evenly coated.
Step 6: Serve immediately and enjoy your creamy chicken Alfredo pasta!

I made a few adjustments to this recipe - I reduced the amount of garlic powder, used Newman's Alfredo sauce, added plenty of Parmesan cheese and fresh ground pepper, and included a bag of Steamfresh broccoli. Everyone enjoyed it, especially my eldest son who had two helpings. I think next time I would increase the amount of pasta as there was a bit too much sauce even with the added broccoli. This dish was a fantastic and quick all-in-one casserole that was a lifesaver for this busy mom. It reheats well, so it's great for leftovers or for feeding a bigger family by doubling the recipe.

Review Rewritten: I was in search of a simple weeknight meal requiring fewer than 6 ingredients, and this recipe fit the bill perfectly. The dish turned out to be delicious! Instead of chicken, I opted for sliced Johnsonville Italian sausage, which added a wonderful twist to the flavor. It never occurred to me to combine Italian sausage with alfredo sauce, but I'm thrilled I tried it – just be sure to sauté the sausage slices until cooked before incorporating the sauce and seasonings. I opted to dilute the sauce slightly to ensure I got every last drop from the jar. The result was fantastic! This recipe is not only tasty but incredibly easy to make. For those who find the flavor lacking, consider adding a pinch of onion powder, salt, and pepper, although I didn't feel the need to. Many thanks for this wonderful recipe!

This recipe is fantastic! I made it using Prego Alfredo Sauce and it was a hit. Instead of garlic powder, I opted for minced garlic when cooking the chicken with the Italian dressing mix. The flavors blended perfectly, creating a delicious meal.

This recipe is incredibly simple to prepare and has a delightful taste. The use of Italian Dressing mix to season the chicken truly elevates the flavors. I suggest generously coating each chicken piece with the dressing mix for an extra kick. For added flavor and texture, consider incorporating some lightly steamed broccoli. Overall, this Chicken Alfredo recipe is a breeze to make and yields delicious results.
