Spaghetti a la Philly Recipe
Ingredients

Original recipe (1X) yields 4 servings:
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 (24 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
- 4 ounces PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, cubed
- 8 ounces spaghetti, cooked and drained
- 2 tablespoons KRAFT Grated Parmesan Cheese
Directions
- Cook the spaghetti as directed on the package. Set aside when done.
- Meanwhile, heat a large skillet over medium heat and brown the ground beef. Stir occasionally to ensure even cooking.
- Once the beef is browned, stir in the spaghetti sauce and cream cheese. Lower the heat and cook for an additional 3 to 5 minutes, stirring frequently until the sauce is well blended and heated through.
- Drain the cooked spaghetti and add it to the skillet with the sauce. Gently toss to combine, ensuring the pasta is well coated with the sauce.
- Transfer the pasta and sauce mixture to a serving platter. Top with the grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
Special Extra
For added flavor, you can saut 1 cup each of chopped bell peppers and onions with the ground beef. Before serving, sprinkle with fresh basil or parsley for a burst of freshness.
Variation
For a lighter option, prepare the recipe using PHILADELPHIA Neufchatel Cheese instead of the regular cream cheese.

I made a delicious sauce by using a large jar of sauce and 8 oz of cream cheese. I cooked the pasta in broth and butter, and added a touch of cinnamon to enhance the flavor. I also opted for brown sugar instead of white. The dish turned out incredibly tasty!

I have been making a similar dish for years. The cream cheese gives it a wonderfully creamy texture. My twist on the recipe is using ground mild Italian sausage instead of ground beef. While spaghetti is great, I personally prefer serving it with penne pasta - just as delicious!
