Ingredients

This recipe is designed for 2 servings. Adjust quantities as needed, but cooking steps and times remain consistent. Note that scaling may affect the final texture.

  • 1 pound chicken tenders
  • 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 cup cornflakes, crushed
  • Avocado oil cooking spray, as needed

Directions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375F (190C).
  2. Season the chicken tenders evenly with poultry seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Pour the beaten egg onto a small rimmed plate and the crushed cornflakes onto a separate plate.
  4. Dip each chicken tender into the egg, then press firmly into the cornflakes to coat completely.
  5. Place the coated chicken into the air fryer basket in a single layer and lightly spray the tops with avocado oil.
  6. Air fry for 7 to 8 minutes, then flip the tenders, spray again with avocado oil, and cook for an additional 3 to 5 minutes.
  7. Check the internal temperature with an instant-read thermometer; it should reach at least 165F (74C) before serving.
