Baked Gnocchi with Ground Turkey and Marinara Sauce Recipe

Cook Time: 35 minutes

Ingredients

This recipe was developed at its original yield. Ingredient amounts are automatically adjusted, but cooking times and steps remain unchanged. Note that not all recipes scale perfectly. Original recipe (1X) yields 8 servings.

  • 1 (16 ounce) package potato gnocchi
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 (28 ounce) jar marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream

Directions

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350F (175C).

Step 2: Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook the gnocchi in the boiling water for 2 to 4 minutes, or until they float to the top.

Step 3: Meanwhile, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground turkey and cook, stirring occasionally, until browned and crumbly (about 5 minutes). Be careful not to overcook, as the meat will continue to brown in the oven.

Step 4: Stir in the marinara sauce and remove the skillet from heat.

Step 5: Use a slotted spoon to transfer the cooked gnocchi into a 9-inch square baking dish. Top with the turkey marinara sauce mixture.

Step 6: Sprinkle the shredded Cheddar cheese on top of the dish.

Step 7: Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 35 minutes, or until the cheese begins to brown.

Step 8: Serve the dish with sour cream on the side.

Cook's Note

You can use your favorite cheese blend instead of shredded Cheddar cheese if preferred.
