Oh my goodness--my father made these for me when I was a kid in the early 80's! Only we toasted the english muffins first, then added a slice of tomato, some italian seasoning, a slice of American cheese and then threw them in the oven/microwave to melt the cheese-- YUM YUM! My kids LOVE them! You can season with garlic or salt n pepper to taste also.

Have been making these for over 50 years. I use Chef B's pizza sauce, pepperoni cut into quarters, olives, mushrooms, finely chopped onion and jack cheese. It does make a difference to toast the muffin halves first to stay crispy. We love these and they re-heat pretty well if not all eaten up.

Been making these like this for years, use Chef Boyardee pizza sauce. Sometimes I add chopped mushroom and black olives. I find cutting the pepperoni pieces into quarters helps allow more ingredients to fit on the English muffin. So easy and tasty!

We make these often and it’s an easy go to. I lightly toast the English muffins in the toaster first, so that they are not soggy. It’s taking a bit longer, but if you have a four-slice toaster it’s not too bad. Also, I slice the pepperoni and or buy the small ones. We also mix up the toppings, crushed red pepper flakes Italian herb blend, green pepper etc. Get creative.

I did a few things to make this suite my tastes and my daughter enjoyed it as well. I used Rao's pizza sauce (a little pricier but worth it), hand grated from a block of mozzarella vs pre packaged. And finally placed them on this rack I had for cooking bacon so it wasnt against a solid surface. I used the same preheat temp recommended, threw them in at about 150, and waited for the cheese to brown along the edges before pulling them and they weren't soggy for me, even the thicker cut muffins. I think it was about 15 minutes.

These were so fun and delicious! We went beyond the classic pepperoni though. I had a left over chicken breast, diced it small. I topped the pizza sauce with light pesto, cheese, chicken and artichokes. Another one, we did chicken and BBQ sauce. And chicken with Mike's hot honey. We add thinly sliced mushrooms to the pepperoni too. Really was far more enjoyable than expected and was sooo fast to make!
