Ingredients

  • cup white sugar
  • 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 tablespoon tahini
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

  1. In a saucepan, mix together the sugar, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt.
  2. Slowly stir in the milk, ensuring everything is well combined.
  3. Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly.
  4. Continue cooking until the mixture thickens and coats the back of a spoon, which should take about 5 minutes.
  5. Once thickened, remove the saucepan from the heat.
  6. Stir in the tahini and vanilla extract, mixing thoroughly until smooth and well combined.
