This fudge recipe deserves high praise for being incredibly easy to make and perfect for kids! Despite some concerns raised in other reviews, I managed to pick up a few helpful tips while making about 6 batches. To ensure a successful outcome due to its simplicity and affordability, remember to spread the fudge a bit thinner than usual and let it cool in the fridge for 5-6 hours or even overnight before cutting it. Also, for a delicious twist, try adding coconut to one batch - it turned out awesome!

Based on many reviews, some felt the taste of the fudge was too much like frosting. To address this, I made some adjustments to the recipe. I started by melting the chips using a double boiler to prevent burning. Next, I reduced the amount of frosting to just one can and switched to Creamy Fudge frosting. Additionally, I incorporated 2 tablespoons of butter and 2 tablespoons of condensed milk. After mixing in the chopped walnuts, I refrigerated the fudge overnight and served it to my family the next day. The outcome? They all found it to be incredibly delicious fudge. Give these modifications a try and hopefully, you'll enjoy it as well.

Review Rewritten: This recipe is a fantastic starting point. I followed the recipe using 1-29.5 oz Duncan Hines Whipped Chocolate Frosting and 1-11.5 oz bag of Milk Chocolate chips. After mixing and microwaving for 2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds, I added walnuts and poured the mixture into a pan to refrigerate until firm. Be cautious not to overheat the chocolate while melting the frosting to preserve its original taste. Update: I experimented with creamy white frosting, white chocolate chips, peppermint oil, and crushed candy canes, and the result was amazing! This new variation has become a hit with everyone who tries it, and I've been asked for the recipe numerous times.

After making four batches, I have discovered the ultimate method to achieve perfect fudge with minimal effort. Simply melt chocolate chips in a large microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring after each time until completely melted. Then, add two generous spoonfuls of Marshmallow Creme and mix well until the mixture thickens. Microwave for an additional 30 seconds, stir, and then incorporate two cans of chocolate fudge frosting, mixing thoroughly. This may require some effort due to the thickness of the mixture, but work quickly as it sets fast! Spread the mixture into a prepared pan, refrigerate for two hours, then cover and refrigerate for at least three more hours or overnight. Cut into pieces and indulge! Those who have tried this version cannot distinguish it from traditionally prepared fudge that requires more time and effort. Trust me, skip the extra steps and preparation time—this recipe is a winner! Plus, it's kid-friendly with only three ingredients. Who can resist that?

My fudge has been in the refrigerator for about an hour, and after slicing and scoring it, I placed it back in to set further. It has a nice firm texture so far. I melted chocolate chips in the microwave, added frosting, stirred vigorously, and then heated it some more. After mixing in marshmallow cream, I poured the mixture onto a cookie sheet lined with wax paper. As a busy mom of two young children, I appreciated this recipe for being affordable, quick, and simple. Here are the adjustments I made: 1) Instead of using two containers of frosting, I measured out 2 1/2 cups with a measuring cup, as I suspected that using too much frosting could prevent the fudge from setting. I used Betty Crocker Chocolate Buttercream frosting. 2) Following suggestions from other reviewers, I added 2 heaping tablespoons of marshmallow cream (Jet-Puffed brand), as no specific amount was mentioned in their reviews. 3) I had some leftover Oreo mint cookies from a St. Patrick's Day dessert, so I crushed them up and mixed them into the fudge before pouring it onto the cookie sheet.

I followed the instructions precisely and the results were great. I discovered that chilling the fudge overnight in the fridge worked perfectly. After cutting the fudge into squares, I let it sit for a few more hours to allow the edges to dry a bit, which prevented it from feeling too wet and resulted in a neater, less messy fudge. Experimenting with different ingredients like dark chocolate chips and swirling peanut butter into the mix also added an interesting twist to the fudge. Overall, it's a decent fudge for the time put in. If you're a perfectionist, consider buying a thermometer and making traditional fudge. But for a quick and tasty version, this recipe is solid. I recommend using a Pyrex bowl over a pot of boiling water as a makeshift double boiler – it works wonders!

I recently stumbled upon this amazing and easy recipe after struggling to make traditional fudge as gifts and ending up with a big mess. I found this recipe while trying to salvage my failed fudge attempts, and I'm so glad I did. I've made this recipe multiple times now, and I love experimenting with different frostings and chips. For example, I've tried using butterscotch chips with cream cheese frosting and macadamia nuts, creating endless delicious combinations. A helpful tip: you can quickly melt the chips in the microwave for about a minute, just make sure to stir them continuously to prevent burning. Using a Pyrex dish also helps distribute the heat more evenly. Overall, this recipe is a game-changer and allows for endless creativity in the kitchen!

Review Rewritten: It was incredibly simple to make and the end result was truly delicious! We couldn't resist making two batches - one with milk chocolate and another with peanut butter cups. Due to allergies in our household, we omitted the nuts from the milk chocolate batch, resulting in a delectable combination of chocolate chips and frosting. For the peanut butter cup batch, we added a delightful twist by incorporating chopped mini peanut butter cups into the mix prior to pouring it into an 8x8 pan. To enhance the peanut butter flavor, we swapped out half a cup of frosting for peanut butter while the mixture was still warm. After transferring the mixture to the pan, we artfully dolloped some peanut butter on top and swirled it into the fudge. The result? Absolutely scrumptious!

I absolutely love using this recipe regularly! During the Christmas season, I make a small tweak by swapping one cup of chocolate chips with Hershey's peppermint bells. This results in the creamiest and most delicious chocolate peppermint fudge I have ever tasted. I receive numerous compliments on it, and the best part is that it's incredibly simple to make. I have a preference for dark chocolate, so whenever possible, I opt for dark chocolate frosting and dark chocolate chips.

We absolutely adore this recipe and find ourselves making it frequently during the holiday season. The variety of flavor combinations is so creative! I simply mix the ingredients in a batter pouring bowl and pour the mixture directly into mini muffin papers in a mini muffin tray. It's a hassle-free process with no mess to clean up, no need for cutting, and I consistently yield exactly 48 pieces from each batch. Such a delightful treat!

I opted to switch to a larger casserole dish instead of using the 8 by 8 pan as it was too small for me. I am delighted with this new fudge recipe - it was simple to make and turned out incredibly smooth. This recipe is definitely a keeper!
