  • 3 cups water
  • 1 cup steel-cut oats
  • 1 apple, or more to taste, chopped
  • 1 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • teaspoon salt
  • teaspoon ground nutmeg

Directions

Follow these simple steps to create a warm and delicious breakfast:

  1. Combine the water, oats, chopped apple, cinnamon, salt, and nutmeg in a multi-functional pressure cooker (such as an Instant Pot).
  2. Close and lock the lid securely, and seal the vent.
  3. Select the Manual function and set the timer for 5 minutes.
  4. Allow 10 to 15 minutes for the pressure to build up.
  5. Once the timer finishes, release the pressure using the natural-release method according to the manufacturer's instructions (about 10 minutes).
  6. Once the pressure has fully released, stir the mixture gently. Be cautious when removing the pot from the pressure cooker using oven mitts.
