Carrot-Apple Baby Food Recipe

Ingredients:
- 2 carrots, peeled and sliced, or more to taste
- 1 apple, peeled, cored, and diced
- 4 teaspoons breast milk (or formula, or water)
Directions:
- Place the sliced carrots into a saucepan and cover them with water.
- Bring the water to a boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes.
- Add the diced apple to the saucepan and simmer for another 5 minutes, or until the carrots and apple are soft.
- Drain the carrots and apples, then transfer them to a blender or food processor.
- Add the breast milk (or formula, or water) to the blender and pure until smooth.
- Allow the puree to cool before serving.
Cook's Notes:
- You can substitute breast milk with formula or water, depending on your preference.
- To store, fill an ice cube tray with the pure and freeze for up to 2 hours. Once frozen, transfer the cubes into a resealable plastic freezer bag.
- To defrost, place the cubes in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave for 30 seconds or until heated through.
