I turned this recipe into a delicious breakfast dish by adding fully cooked breakfast sausage links. Instead of using the entire package of frozen links, I only used enough to fill a container of biscuit dough (eight sausage links). I didn't even cut the sausages; I simply folded them over like mini burritos. The kids devoured every single one, and they loved it so much that they want it again tomorrow. This dish was a massive hit in our household!

My family really enjoyed the flavor of these sausage rolls. They are versatile and can be served for dinner, breakfast, or any time in between. The only adjustment I made was placing them on parchment paper and cutting them in half instead of thirds since they were a main dish. However, I found that baking them at 375°F resulted in the bottom cooking too quickly and becoming scorched, while the tops were barely golden. To achieve the desired level of doneness, I had to leave them in the oven for an extra 3 minutes. Even though I cut them in half to avoid the burnt bottoms, it was still an issue. I would recommend using a slightly lower temperature, maybe 350°F for 10-12 minutes. Despite this issue, I plan to make them again and try baking them at a lower temperature next time. The taste was still enjoyable, even with the scorched bottoms!

Lacks flavor. My husband didn't enjoy them.

I opted for traditional mustard and crescent rolls, and they were absolutely delightful! The assembly process was a breeze as well. A total home run!
