Bacon Appetizer Crescents Recipe

Bacon Appetizer Crescents Recipe

Servings: 16

Preparation time: 15 minutes

Cooking time: 12-15 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 (8 ounce) package PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
  • 8 slices OSCAR MAYER Bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • cup KRAFT Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • cup finely chopped onions
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 2 (8 ounce) packages refrigerated crescent dinner rolls

Directions

Step 1: Preheat your oven to 375F (190C).

Step 2: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, crumbled bacon, Parmesan cheese, chopped onions, fresh parsley, and milk. Stir well until all ingredients are fully mixed and a creamy consistency is achieved.

Step 3: Unroll the crescent dough. Separate each can of dough into 8 individual triangles. Then, cut each triangle lengthwise into two smaller triangles.

Step 4: Spread about one generous teaspoon of the cream cheese mixture onto each dough triangle. Roll up each triangle, starting from the short side, forming a crescent shape.

Step 5: Place each rolled-up dough piece, point-side down, on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or lightly greased.

Step 6: Bake in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and fully cooked.

Step 7: Serve the rolls warm for the best taste and enjoy!

Additional Tips

  • Size-wise: These tasty appetizers are perfect for social gatherings, but remember to enjoy them in moderation to avoid excess calories.
  • Substitute: You can prepare these rolls using PHILADELPHIA Neufchatel Cheese for a lighter option.
  • Special Extra: For a creative touch, sprinkle a little poppy seed on top of the rolls before baking for added flavor.

These turned out great, although I made some adjustments. Firstly, I opted for a Pillsbury dough sheet which I rolled like a log instead of using crescent rolls. I sliced it before baking at 375 for 10 minutes, resulting in a more uniform size for presentation. I also added extra bacon and shaved Parmesan instead of grated. The whole group absolutely enjoyed them! I will definitely be making these again.

I prepared this dish to bring to a friend's Fourth of July celebration. Running late, I skipped baking the crescent rolls and used Ritz crackers instead. Surprisingly, it turned out delicious!

I absolutely couldn't resist these!! I cooked onions in the bacon fat after frying the bacon, and used flavored cream cheese instead of adding parsley to plain cream cheese. The taste was absolutely phenomenal!

I made these with a few tweaks - added extra bacon and an olive mix, and used green onion instead of regular onion. They turned out to be a hit!

I have prepared these for various events, and they are always a huge hit! The only alteration I made was sautéing green onions in the bacon fat for some added flavor. It truly takes them to the next level.

These are fantastic and always disappear quickly when served. My only small tweak is sautéing the onions in the leftover bacon fat - it adds a subtle difference in flavor, making it even more delicious!

Absolutely fantastic! I suggest doubling the filling to ensure the "mini" Crescent rolls are completely filled. Any leftover filling can be baked and served as a delicious chip dip. Highly recommended!
